1. After the funeral, how does Carl Ray show a different side of his personality during a conversation with Tommy? Carl Ray shows a different side of himself while having a conversation with Tommy. Carl Ray is being asked questions by Tommy that will change his feelings. For example Tommy asked him “Did you see the body?” That made Carl Ray sad because he had never really been to a funeral and seen a dead body. He had never touched one either. That made Carl Ray cry.
2. Who is Mr. Briggers? How does he become a part of Carl Ray’s life? Mr. Brigger’s is a lawyer. He becomes part of Carl Ray’s life because there is a man who is giving Carl Ray 5 thousand dollars and he can’t mention the name but Carl Ray spends it for a car, and hopefully the rest for college.
