There are a lot of connections I can make from the book and real life. In the book Mr. Frutz dies, in real life, my grandma has seven brothers and sisters and they have all died except for her. Also, I have gotten grounded for going to sleep late. In the story, Maggie gets grounded for coming home late from a party with Kenny. Kenny is her boyfriend. I have a little brother named Christopher just like Mary Lou Finney has a little brother named Dennis. My brother has cut his head on a wall and had to get stiches like the spring in the bed shot into Dennis’ leg in the story. In March, I am turning thirteen just like Mary Lou Finney.
